Kormus Bell + Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth + Night of Souls' Betrayal
3-card combo · B
Verdict
Yes — this 3-card lock destroys every land on the battlefield and prevents any new one from surviving as long as all three pieces remain.

Kormus Bell turns all Swamps into 1/1 creatures; Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth makes every land a Swamp; Night of Souls' Betrayal cuts all creature toughness by 1, dropping each Swamp-creature to 0/0 and killing it as a state-based action. The controller's own lands die too, so this is a lock you assemble after going mana-positive through artifacts like Cabal Coffers or Crypt Ghast — black stax shells running Braids, Cabal Minion or The Cabal as a commander are the natural homes.

How it works
01
Prerequisites
—
02
Steps
- When a land enters the battlefield, it becomes a Swamp due to Kormus Bell. This then causes it to become a 0/0 creature due to Urborg and Night of Souls' Betrayal, and die as a state-based action due to having 0 toughness.
03
Result
Destroy all lands; Destroy all lands that enter the battlefield; Lock; Mass Land Denial
Variations
Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines
Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite replaces Night of Souls' Betrayal for the same toughness reduction effect while surviving itself, though it adds white to the color identity. If the lock breaks because Night of Souls' Betrayal is removed, Kormus Bell and Urborg alone still threaten the board the moment any -1/-1 effect is introduced — Massacre Girl provides a repeatable reset in that contingency.
