Seasons Past returns Time Warp and Demonic Tutor to hand while burying itself in the library; Demonic Tutor retrieves Seasons Past again, closing the loop every turn. The six-land floor is real — this is a mana-heavy combo that belongs in Sultai goodstuff shells running Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy or The Gitrog Monster, where hitting six lands is expected by turn four or five.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

You control at least six lands.

02

Steps

  1. Cast Seasons Past by paying {4}{G}{G}, returning Beseech the Queen, Time Warp, and any number of cards with different mana costs to your hand and putting Seasons Past on the bottom of your library.
  2. Cast Demonic Tutor by paying {1}{B}, putting Seasons Past from your library into your hand.
  3. Cast Time Warp by paying {3}{U}{U}, granting you an extra turn.
  4. Repeat each turn.

03

Result

Infinite turns; Lock

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

Beseech the Queen replaces Demonic Tutor as the tutor piece if the latter is removed, serving the same function at a higher mana cost — drop Demonic Tutor before Beseech the Queen when cuts are necessary, not the other way around. Mystical Tutor can also fetch Time Warp directly to the top if the loop breaks mid-cycle; the important redundancy is on the tutor slot, not on Seasons Past itself.
