Thassa's Ire turns any creature with enough mana into a repeatable tap-and-untap engine for two blue mana per activation — the ceiling is absurd when Sanctum Weaver is generating five or six mana a tap. The cost is that it does nothing without mana producers on board and folds to enchantment removal.
Format Analysis

Thassa's Ire is a Commander card through and through — the format's redundant untap synergies, enchantress payoffs, and infinite-mana combos are exactly where this card lives. In Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer it's technically legal but functionally unplayed; dedicated tap-untap engines in those formats are faster and don't require a separate mana outlet. Vintage has the raw power density to abuse it, but better combo infrastructure exists. Stick to Commander.

Current price
$0.10 bulk tier
At $0.10, Thassa's Ire is pure bulk — easy to acquire as a throw-in or from a common box. That price is stable for now, but combo pieces with narrow homes don't tend to climb unless a new commander breaks them wide open.
