Sanctum Weaver card art
Sanctum Weaver taps for one green mana per enchantment you control — in a deck running 15 or 20 enchantments, that's a mana engine that dwarfs most ramp spells by turn four. Pair it with Freed from the Real and you have infinite mana the moment Sanctum Weaver hits the board, which is exactly why Anikthea, Hand of Erebos lists run it at over 90%.

Commanders with the highest synergy

Wildsear, Scouring Maw

Wildsear, Scouring Maw

82.7% of decks · synergy 0.77

Wildsear, Scouring Maw wants to proliferate and build a wide enchantment board, and Sanctum Weaver converts that board into the mana needed to keep casting and proliferating ahead of the table.

03
Sythis, Harvest's Hand

Sythis, Harvest's Hand

89.9% of decks · synergy 0.75

Sythis, Harvest's Hand builds a dense enchantment density faster than almost any other commander, which means Sanctum Weaver reaches its ceiling — multiple mana per activation — by turn three or four with any reasonable draw.

04
Ellivere of the Wild Court

Ellivere of the Wild Court

90.3% of decks · synergy 0.75

Ellivere of the Wild Court layers Auras and Role tokens onto creatures, and Sanctum Weaver turns that enchantment volume into the mana required to keep suiting up the board before opponents can stabilize.

05
Narci, Fable Singer

Narci, Fable Singer

82.1% of decks · synergy 0.72

Narci, Fable Singer wins by sacrificing enchantments and generating value off their deaths, and Sanctum Weaver provides the mana acceleration to flood the board with enchantments quickly enough to make those sacrifice triggers matter.

Format Analysis

FormatVerdict

oathbreaker

Sanctum Weaver is legal in Commander, Legacy, Modern, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but Commander is the only format where it's genuinely powerful. In Legacy and Vintage, a two-mana 1/1 that produces one green on tap is too slow against the format's actual threats, and enchantment density is rarely high enough to make the ability meaningful. Modern enchantress shells exist at a casual level, but Sanctum Weaver competes poorly with faster mana production and dies to the format's ubiquitous removal before it generates meaningful value. Commander is where Sanctum Weaver earns its slot — enchantment commanders routinely hit 15–25 enchantments, the game runs long enough for the ability to compound, and the infinite-mana lines with Freed from the Real are easy to assemble.

Pricing data for Sanctum Weaver isn't currently available in this listing, so check Scryfall or TCGPlayer for a live number before buying. Given its 93% inclusion rate in Anikthea, Hand of Erebos decks and near-universal presence across enchantress commanders, it has consistently commanded a premium over a bulk rare — expect to pay accordingly.
