Said // Done puts two spells on the stack for one card — Said counters a noncreature spell, Done exiles a creature, and fusing them means you answer both sides of the board on the same turn. The cost is real: five mana total to fuse is a steep ask, which is why this card lives almost exclusively in Zethi, Arcane Blademaster decks that can cast the halves for free off imprint.

Said // Done is a Commander card through and through. The fuse mechanic rewards decks that can cheat the combined cost — notably via imprint effects or cost reducers — and the two-for-one payoff lines up neatly with the longer game Commander plays. In Legacy and Vintage it's legal but sees no meaningful play; Counterspell and Swords to Plowshares do the same jobs individually and more efficiently. Modern is the same story. Said // Done is exactly as good as your ability to reduce its cost, and only Commander regularly provides the infrastructure to make that happen.
