Iceberg card art
Iceberg enters as a mana battery — you pay X up front to store charge counters, then cash them out for blue mana later, smoothing uneven draw hands or enabling one large spell after a slow start. The cost is real: you're paying now for mana you can't use until future turns, which bleeds tempo badly against fast tables. In shells built around Kilo, Apogee Mind or similar counter-manipulation, that deficit shrinks enough to justify the slot.

Iceberg is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, and that's essentially the full story — it never made the cut in any format where it was legal. In Commander it occupies a narrow niche as a slow mana-smoothing tool, but most blue decks would rather run Sapphire Medallion or a bounce land than pay X now to recoup it over several turns. Legacy and Vintage move too fast for any card that asks you to pre-invest mana without immediate payoff. Oathbreaker's smaller life totals and tighter games make the tempo loss even harder to absorb.

Price Context

Current price

unknown tier

Pricing data for Iceberg isn't currently available, which itself signals low demand and sparse market activity. Given its narrow competitive applications, it tends to trade as a bulk or near-bulk card — pick it up cheaply if you have a specific build in mind, but don't expect scarcity to drive the price up.
