Glitterfang

Glitterfang is a Commander card at its core — the self-bounce does almost nothing in formats where games end before you've looped it five times. In Legacy, Vintage, and Pauper it's theoretically legal but competes with far more efficient one-drops that don't ask you to recast them every turn. Pauper is the one exception worth a second look, since cheap spell-count payoffs exist at common and the loop is achievable in longer games. Commander is where Glitterfang earns its slot, specifically in decks that reward casting the same spell repeatedly — storm payoffs, token generators, and cost-reduction engines all extract real value from a card that never stays in the graveyard.
