Dawn's Reflection card art
Dawn's Reflection turns any land into a two-mana rock that also filters colors, and pairing it with Arbor Elf on the enchanted land produces four mana off a single creature tap. The cost — four mana and an enchantment slot — is real, but Estrid, the Masked can untap the land and recur the aura, which makes that cost feel much smaller in the right shell.

Best Commanders

Commanders with the highest synergy

01
Estrid, the Masked

Estrid, the Masked

54.2% of decks · synergy 0.53

Estrid, the Masked's +2 untaps all enchanted permanents, meaning a land wearing Dawn's Reflection can tap for three or more mana before Estrid even activates an ultimate — it's the single best home for this card in the format.

02
Yenna, Redtooth Regent

Yenna, Redtooth Regent

19.0% of decks · synergy 0.18

Yenna, Redtooth Regent copies non-legendary enchantments at the end of combat, so Dawn's Reflection can be duplicated onto a second land for free, doubling the mana boost without spending another card.

03
Tuvasa the Sunlit

Tuvasa the Sunlit

13.3% of decks · synergy 0.12

Tuvasa the Sunlit draws a card on the first enchantment you cast each turn and grows larger with each one on the battlefield, so Dawn's Reflection pulls double duty as a mana accelerant and a pump spell for the commander.

Commander is where Dawn's Reflection actually earns its slot — the longer game gives you time to recoup the four-mana investment, and aura-untap commanders like Estrid, the Masked push it into genuine acceleration territory. In Pauper it's legal and occasionally appears in enchantress shells alongside other common auras, though the format's faster pace makes the upfront cost harder to justify. Legacy and Vintage have no practical interest in a four-mana do-nothing enchantment when Mox Sapphire and Ancient Tomb exist. Pioneer and Standard are both off the table.

Price Context

Current price

$0.24 bulk tier

At $0.24, Dawn's Reflection is bulk in every sense — a quarter-bin staple that costs nothing to slot in. Bulk rares with narrow appeal tend to stay flat or drift lower, so there's no reason to stock up beyond your immediate needs.
