Eldrazi Displacer card art
Eldrazi Displacer turns any source of colorless mana into a repeatable flicker engine — tap three colorless, exile a creature, return it at end of turn, collect the enters-the-battlefield trigger again. The cost is real: you need a dedicated colorless mana source, not just a Sol Ring, or the ability stalls out. Pair it with Brood Monitor for infinite mana or slot it under Ulalek, Fused Atrocity and every flicker cascades into a storm of triggered copies.

Ulalek, Fused Atrocity

Ulalek, Fused Atrocity

34.4% of decks · synergy 0.31

Every time Eldrazi Displacer flickers an Eldrazi under Ulalek, Fused Atrocity, Ulalek's triggered ability fires and copies the next cast trigger across every Eldrazi you control — turning a single blink activation into a board-wide chain reaction.

Zidane, Tantalus Thief

Zidane, Tantalus Thief

28.6% of decks · synergy 0.28

Zidane, Tantalus Thief wants to flicker opponents' creatures to deny them upkeep triggers and steal value, and Eldrazi Displacer is the most mana-efficient repeatable tool for doing exactly that on any player's turn.

03
Preston, the Vanisher

Preston, the Vanisher

29.5% of decks · synergy 0.27

Eldrazi Displacer flickering a nontoken creature under Preston, the Vanisher creates a white Illusion Horse token on each blink, converting three colorless mana into a token every turn.

Abdel Adrian, Gorion's WardCandlekeep Sage

Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward // Candlekeep Sage

24.1% of decks · synergy 0.22

Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward // Candlekeep Sage exiles your own permanents on entry, and Eldrazi Displacer lets you re-trigger that effect at instant speed — blinking Abdel resets the exile count and returns everything that left, generating repeated ETB value on demand.

05
Roon of the Hidden Realm

Roon of the Hidden Realm

22.6% of decks · synergy 0.22

Roon of the Hidden Realm already wants a critical mass of blink outlets, and Eldrazi Displacer adds a colorless-costed one that operates at instant speed and doesn't tap Roon himself — giving the deck redundancy on its core loop.

Commander is where Eldrazi Displacer does its best work: long games, dense ETB packages, and easy access to colorless mana from Sol Ring, Wastes, or Eldrazi-tribal utility lands all remove the main friction point. In Modern and Pioneer, it sees occasional play in dedicated Eldrazi shells where colorless mana is baked into the mana base, but the three-mana activation cost is slow against linear aggro and the card rarely survives long enough to recoup value in non-combo contexts. Legacy and Vintage can support the colorless requirement trivially, but faster and more redundant engines make Eldrazi Displacer a fringe choice there. It's a Commander card first — the longer the game, the more activations matter.
