Super-Skrull's fourth ability costs 4 mana with Training Grounds reducing it, and each activation draws an opponent four cards — Smothering Tithe then creates four Treasures, exactly refunding the cost. The loop runs as long as the target opponent can't pay the Tithe's tax; against a player who can pay, the engine stalls unless enough mana exists to drain their reserves first.
Recipe
How it works
01
Prerequisites
An opponent cannot pay for Smothering Tithe's trigger. If the opponent can pay for Smothering Tithe's trigger, you can still perform the combo if you have enough mana to outlast their mana supply. You can also continue this combo for other opponents if mana allows.
02
Steps
- Activate Super-Skrull's fourth ability by paying
due to Training Grounds, causing an opponent to draw four cards.
- Smothering Tithe triggers four times, causing you to create four Treasure tokens.
- Activate the Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding
.
- Repeat.
03
Result
Infinite card draw for any number of opponents; Infinite draw triggers for any number of opponents
Variations
Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines
Consecrated Sphinx or Notion Thief can be layered in to convert the opponent's draws into personal advantage before the loop closes. The combo does not kill on its own — pair it with Thassa's Oracle or Laboratory Maniac to capitalize once a target's library is empty, since infinite draw for opponents without a closer just fills their hands.
