2-card combo · RW
Verdict
Yes — this 2-card setup phases out your board before Obliterate resolves, leaving opponents with no lands, no creatures, and no artifacts while you untap with everything intact.

Teferi's Protection phases out all your permanents before Obliterate wipes the table clean; because phased-out permanents are treated as nonexistent, they survive the destruction entirely and phase back in at your next upkeep. This line sees play in Boros and Naya chaos or stax shells that can generate 11 mana across two spells in one turn — Zirda, the Dawnwaker cuts that cost, and Smothering Tithe bankrolls the float.

Variations
Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines
Jokulhaups is the direct Obliterate substitute, hitting the same permanent types at the same mana cost in red. Decree of Annihilation sweeps harder by also exiling hands and graveyards, but costs two more; if the meta runs Underworld Breach recursion, it is the right call over Obliterate.
