3-card combo · WBG

Verdict

Yes — this 3-card line skips enough turns to deck every opponent out while Teferi's Protection makes the controller untouchable through the wait.

Lethal Vapors lets any player pay 0 and skip their next turn to destroy it, but activating it a hundred times before Krosan Grip resolves first means those skip triggers still fire after the enchantment is gone. Teferi's Protection then seals the controller behind protection from everything until their next turn — a turn that may never meaningfully arrive because they've queued so many skips that every opponent draws out first.

How it works

01

Prerequisites

02

Steps

  1. Cast Lethal Vapors by paying {2}{B}{B}.
  2. Activate Lethal Vapors an arbitrarily large number of times.
  3. Maintaining priority, cast Krosan Grip by paying {2}{G}, destroying Lethal Vapors.
  4. Cast Teferi's Protection by paying {2}{W}: until your next turn your life total can't change and you have protection from everything.
  5. Allow all the activated abilities from Lethal Vapors to resolve, skipping an arbitrarily large number of turns.

03

Result

Skip all your future turns, causing your opponents to eventually draw from an empty library and lose the game; You have protection from everything; Your life total can't change; Lock

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

Any split-second removal can replace Krosan Grip — Sudden Spoiling or Sudden Death both dodge the response window the same way. There is no cheaper substitute for Teferi's Protection here; the protection layer is non-negotiable, since without it opponents have a window to kill the controller during the skipped turns.
