Super-Skrull's fourth ability costs 5U and forces an opponent to draw four cards; Smothering Tithe converts each unpaid draw trigger into a Treasure, and if the opponent can't pay four times over, six Treasures cover the 5U activation cost exactly. Jolene, the Plunder Queen turns every Treasure entering the battlefield into +1/+1 counters, so the loop simultaneously grows a creature to a lethal size while drawing out opponents' libraries. Five-color shells running Magda, Brazen Outlaw or Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator already want this density of Treasure production.
Recipe
How it works
01
Prerequisites
An opponent cannot pay for Smothering Tithe's trigger more than once. If the opponent can pay for Smothering Tithe's trigger more times, you can still perform the combo if you have enough mana to outlast their mana supply. You can also continue this combo for other opponents if mana allows. The extra mana can be used to activate any of Super-Skrull's abilities.
02
Steps
- Activate Super-Skrull's fourth ability by paying
, causing an opponent to draw four cards.
- Smothering Tithe triggers four times, causing you to create two Treasure tokens for each time the opponent cannot pay for the trigger.
- Activate six Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding
.
- Repeat.
03
Result
Infinite card draw for any number of opponents; Infinite draw triggers for any number of opponents; Near-infinite +1/+1 counters on a creature; Near-infinite ETB; Near-infinite Treasure tokens; Near-infinite card draw; Near-infinite colored mana; Near-infinite creature tokens; Near-infinite draw triggers; Near-infinitely large creature until end of turn
Variations
Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines
The combo collapses if the target opponent can pay even two of the four Tithe triggers, so prioritize opponents with low or depleted mana — the loop is opponent-dependent in a way most infinite engines aren't. Parallel Lives or Doubling Season double the Treasure output and give the combo breathing room against opponents who can pay one or two triggers. Add Reckless Fireweaver or Marionette Master as the damage closer; the engine floods the board with tokens but needs a second card to end the game outright.
