Morophon, the Boundless + Saffi Eriksdotter + Eternal Witness + Woe Strider

4-card combo · WUBRG

Verdict

Yes — this 4-card loop generates infinite death triggers, ETBs, and scry with a zero-mana Saffi Eriksdotter as the engine.

Morophon, the Boundless naming Human or Scout zeroes out Saffi Eriksdotter's white-green cost, letting the loop run on no mana after setup. Saffi's sacrifice ability targets Eternal Witness; Woe Strider eats Eternal Witness for a scry; Eternal Witness comes back from Saffi's trigger and returns Saffi to hand; repeat at zero cost per iteration. The table sees a five-color Humans or Persist shell — Morophon typically sits in the command zone, so three of the four pieces need to be in the 99.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

"Human" or "Scout" chosen with Morophon.

02

Steps

  1. Activate Saffi by sacrificing it, targeting Eternal Witness.
  2. Activate Woe Strider by sacrificing Eternal Witness.
  3. When Eternal Witness dies, Saffi triggers, returning Eternal Witness from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  4. When Eternal Witness enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Saffi from your graveyard to your hand.
  5. Resolve the Woe Strider ability, causing you to scry 1.
  6. Cast Saffi by paying {0} due to Morophon.
  7. Repeat.

03

Result

Infinite death triggers; Infinite ETB; Infinite LTB; Infinite sacrifice triggers; Infinite scry 1; Infinite storm count

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

Any free sac outlet replaces Woe Strider if scry is irrelevant — Altar of Dementia mills the table instead and fits the same loop. Pair the infinite death triggers with Zulaport Cutthroat or Blood Artist as the actual kill; the loop is pure iteration without a damage sink.
