Bloodstained Mire's fetch triggers both Kodama of the East Tree and Maja, Bretagard Protector; the Kodama trigger puts Ghost Town onto the battlefield for free, which in turn triggers both again. Ghost Town bounces itself back to hand at zero cost, letting each Maja token re-trigger Kodama and restart the chain indefinitely — all on an opponent's turn, which is exactly when Kodama's ability is live.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

It is not your turn. There is a land card in your library that can be fetched using Bloodstained Mire. Your life total is at least 2.

02

Steps

  1. Fetch a land using Bloodstained Mire.
  2. When the fetched land enters, Maja and Kodama trigger.
  3. Resolve the Kodama trigger, putting Ghost Town from your hand onto the battlefield.
  4. When Ghost Town enters, Kodama and Maja trigger.
  5. Holding priority, activate Ghost Town's first abiltiy by tapping it, adding {C}.
  6. Activate Ghost Town's second ability by paying {0}, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
  7. Resolve the Maja from step 4, creating a token.
  8. When the token enters, Kodama triggers, putting Ghost Town from your hand onto the battlefield.
  9. When Ghost Town enters, Maja triggers.
  10. Repeat from step 5.

03

Result

Infinite ETB; Infinite colorless mana; Infinite creature tokens; Infinite landfall triggers

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

Any fetchland that finds a legal target replaces Bloodstained Mire — Verdant Catacombs or Windswept Heath are the natural fits in green-white. The loop generates infinite tokens but needs a payoff already on board; Maja herself creates the 1/1 Humans, so anything that drains on token entry — Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, or Impact Tremors — closes the game without adding a fifth piece.
