Kodama of the East Tree and Eusocial Engineering both trigger when a land enters, creating a recursive chain: Kodama drops Ghost Town from hand, Ghost Town entering makes Eusocial Engineering create a token, that token entering makes Kodama put Ghost Town back down again. Ghost Town's zero-cost return ability resets it to hand each iteration, and tapping it for colorless mana before bouncing means every loop nets a mana. The whole engine fires on an opponent's turn — Bloodstained Mire is just the trigger pull, not an ongoing cost.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

It is not your turn. There is a land card in your library that can be fetched using Bloodstained Mire. Your life total is at least 2.

02

Steps

  1. Fetch a land using Bloodstained Mire.
  2. When the fetched land enters, Eusocial Engineering and Kodama trigger.
  3. Resolve the Kodama trigger, putting Ghost Town from your hand onto the battlefield.
  4. When Ghost Town enters, Kodama and Eusocial Engineering trigger.
  5. Holding priority, activate Ghost Town's first abiltiy by tapping it, adding {C}.
  6. Activate Ghost Town's second ability by paying {0}, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
  7. Resolve the Eusocial Engineering from step 4, creating a token.
  8. When the token enters, Kodama triggers, putting Ghost Town from your hand onto the battlefield.
  9. When Ghost Town enters, Eusocial Engineering triggers.
  10. Repeat from step 5.

03

Result

Infinite ETB; Infinite colorless mana; Infinite creature tokens; Infinite landfall triggers

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

Any fetch land with a matching target in the library starts the chain; Bloodstained Mire is interchangeable with Wooded Foothills, Verdant Catacombs, or any other fetchland in the green color identity. The combo generates infinite tokens and landfall but no built-in kill — pair it with Purphoros, God of the Forge if red is available, or resolve it alongside Scute Swarm or Retreat to Coralhelm in slower lines to convert landfall into a win on the spot.
