Kodama of the East Tree chains Ghost Town back onto the battlefield every time a permanent enters, while Nesting Dragon mints a Dragon Egg token on each land ETB — Ghost Town's free bounce ability resets the loop from hand. The engine only fires on an opponent's turn, which means it needs either a Flash enabler or a triggered window that resolves outside the pilot's own step, but Bloodstained Mire provides the opening trigger without any extra spend beyond the 1 life fetch cost.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

It is not your turn. There is a land card in your library that can be fetched using Bloodstained Mire. Your life total is at least 2.

02

Steps

  1. Fetch a land using Bloodstained Mire.
  2. When the fetched land enters, Nesting Dragon and Kodama trigger.
  3. Resolve the Kodama trigger, putting Ghost Town from your hand onto the battlefield.
  4. When Ghost Town enters, Kodama and Nesting Dragon trigger.
  5. Holding priority, activate Ghost Town's first abiltiy by tapping it, adding {C}.
  6. Activate Ghost Town's second ability by paying {0}, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
  7. Resolve the Nesting Dragon from step 4, creating a token.
  8. When the token enters, Kodama triggers, putting Ghost Town from your hand onto the battlefield.
  9. When Ghost Town enters, Nesting Dragon triggers.
  10. Repeat from step 5.

03

Result

Infinite ETB; Infinite colorless mana; Infinite creature tokens; Infinite landfall triggers

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

Any fetchland that can pull a land from the library substitutes for Bloodstained Mire as the ignition piece — Wooded Foothills or Windswept Heath work identically. Purphoros, God of the Forge or Altar of Dementia converts the infinite Dragon Egg stream into a table kill; without a damage or mill outlet, the tokens sit as 0/2s until they hatch.
