Kodama of the East Tree + Ghost Town + Bloodstained Mire + The Necrobloom

4-card combo · WBG

Verdict

Yes — this 4-card loop converts a single fetch activation into infinite landfall triggers, creature tokens, and colorless mana on any opponent's turn.

The Necrobloom creates a Zombie land token whenever a land enters under its controller's control, and Kodama of the East Tree puts any permanent with equal or lesser mana value into play off each entry — those two triggers bounce Ghost Town through an infinite loop the moment Bloodstained Mire pulls a land from the library. The restriction is real: this only fires on an opponent's turn, so the deck needs a way to hold up all four pieces and pass safely, or a haste outlet to cash in the tokens before the turn ends.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

It is not your turn. There is a land card in your library that can be fetched using Bloodstained Mire. Your life total is at least 2.

02

Steps

  1. Fetch a land using Bloodstained Mire.
  2. When the fetched land enters, The Necrobloom and Kodama trigger.
  3. Resolve the Kodama trigger, putting Ghost Town from your hand onto the battlefield.
  4. When Ghost Town enters, Kodama and The Necrobloom trigger.
  5. Holding priority, activate Ghost Town's first abiltiy by tapping it, adding {C}.
  6. Activate Ghost Town's second ability by paying {0}, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
  7. Resolve the The Necrobloom from step 4, creating a token.
  8. When the token enters, Kodama triggers, putting Ghost Town from your hand onto the battlefield.
  9. When Ghost Town enters, The Necrobloom triggers.
  10. Repeat from step 5.

03

Result

Infinite ETB; Infinite colorless mana; Infinite creature tokens; Infinite landfall triggers

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

Any fetch land that hits a card in the library fills Bloodstained Mire's role — Verdant Catacombs and Marsh Flats are the cleanest swaps in Abzan colors. The loop generates infinite tokens but needs a payoff to win on the spot; Wayward Swordtooth or a sacrifice outlet like Altar of Dementia converts the Zombie tokens into damage or a mill kill before the active player's next upkeep.
