Kodama of the East Tree + Ghost Town + Bloodstained Mire + Greensleeves, Maro-Sorcerer

4-card combo · G

Verdict

Yes — this 4-card loop converts a single fetch land activation into infinite landfall triggers, creature tokens, and colorless mana on any opponent's turn.

Kodama of the East Tree's triggered ability puts Ghost Town onto the battlefield each time another permanent enters, and Ghost Town's zero-cost return ability reloads Kodama's trigger by bouncing itself back to hand. Greensleeves, Maro-Sorcerer closes the loop cleanly: each Ghost Town entry creates a Forest Elemental token, and that token entry triggers Kodama to replay Ghost Town again, generating mana off the tap each cycle. The whole engine fires on an opponent's turn because Ghost Town's second ability is restricted to non-main phases.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

It is not your turn. There is a land card in your library that can be fetched using Bloodstained Mire. Your life total is at least 2.

02

Steps

  1. Fetch a land using Bloodstained Mire.
  2. When the fetched land enters, Greensleeves and Kodama trigger.
  3. Resolve the Kodama trigger, putting Ghost Town from your hand onto the battlefield.
  4. When Ghost Town enters, Kodama and Greensleeves trigger.
  5. Holding priority, activate Ghost Town's first abiltiy by tapping it, adding {C}.
  6. Activate Ghost Town's second ability by paying {0}, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
  7. Resolve the Greensleeves from step 4, creating a token.
  8. When the token enters, Kodama triggers, putting Ghost Town from your hand onto the battlefield.
  9. When Ghost Town enters, Greensleeves triggers.
  10. Repeat from step 5.

03

Result

Infinite ETB; Infinite colorless mana; Infinite creature tokens; Infinite landfall triggers

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

Bloodstained Mire is replaceable with any fetchland that can find a land in the library — Verdant Catacombs or Wooded Foothills work identically. The loop generates infinite tokens but needs a payoff already on the board; Craterhoof Behemoth, Purphoros, God of the Forge if the shell splashes red, or simply swinging with a Greensleeves that has grown to lethal power all close the game.
