Fervor is the glue: Doomed Necromancer needs haste to activate the same turn it's cast, otherwise the loop stalls for a full rotation. Ashnod's Altar cashes out Eternal Witness for two colorless, Pitiless Plunderer converts each death into a Treasure, and those Treasures fund Doomed Necromancer's recursive reanimation of Eternal Witness — which then returns Doomed Necromancer to hand to restart the chain. Jund reanimator commanders like Karador, Ghost Chieftain or Gyome, Master Chef that already want a sacrifice outlet and graveyard recursion are the natural home.
