Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward + Blur + Eternal Witness

3-card combo · GWU

Verdict

Yes — this 3-card loop generates infinite card draw and near-infinite tokens, ETB triggers, and storm count in any Bant shell that can float two mana.

Blur blinks Abdel Adrian for 1U, which returns Eternal Witness and every exiled permanent to the battlefield; Eternal Witness then recovers Blur before Abdel Adrian's trigger resolves and exiles the mana producers again into a fresh stack of Soldier tokens. The loop needs enough untapped nonland permanents to float at least 1U each iteration, so mana dorks like Selvala, Heart of the Wilds or a pair of Birds of Paradise fill the fuel seat naturally.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

You have any number of other nonland permanents that enter the battlefield untapped, and that can collectively tap to produce enough mana to cast Blur exiled by Abdel Adrian.

02

Steps

  1. Cast Blur by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
  2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Eternal Witness and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
  3. Abdel Adrian and Eternal Witness trigger.
  4. Resolve the Eternal Witness trigger, returning Blur from your graveyard to your hand.
  5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Blur.
  6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Eternal Witness and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
  7. Repeat.

03

Result

Infinite card draw; Near-infinite ETB; Infinite draw triggers; Near-infinite magecraft triggers; Near-infinite creature tokens; Near-infinite blinking of nonland permanents you control; Near-infinite storm count; Near-infinite LTB

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

Ghostly Flicker replaces Blur as a harder-to-interact-with blink spell if the 1R haste clause is irrelevant, though it needs UU instead of 1U and hits a different target count. Because the results include near-infinite ETB rather than true infinite, the kill requires a payoff already on the battlefield — Impact Tremors, Purphoros, God of the Forge, or Altar of Dementia turn the token flood into a table close.
