Lithoform Blight card art
Lithoform Blight turns a land into a Swamp that taps for colorless instead of its normal mana, drains one life per tap, and can't be sacrificed — a meaningful soft lock on a key utility land for just two mana. It's a niche piece of land hate that trades raw card advantage for persistent, low-cost disruption.

In Commander, Lithoform Blight earns its slot in decks that want to punish greedy mana bases — shutting off a Cabal Coffers, Gaea's Cradle, or Maze of Ith for two mana is a real tempo swing that most removal spells can't match. Outside Commander, it sees essentially no play in competitive formats like Modern or Legacy, where land disruption at two mana needs to answer the land permanently rather than tax it. Pioneer follows the same logic — if you're spending two mana on land hate, Blood Moon effects or Field of Ruin do more. Lithoform Blight's niche is specifically the singleton, utility-land-dense environment of Commander, and even there it belongs in dedicated stax or land-disruption shells rather than generic goodstuff decks.

Price Context

Current price

$0.06 bulk tier

At $0.06, Lithoform Blight is pure bulk — you're paying for cardboard, not scarcity. Demand is too narrow to push the price up, so it's unlikely to move unless a breakout stax commander drives sudden interest.
