Accursed Centaur puts a 2/2 body on the board for one mana — the catch is you must sacrifice a creature on entry, which makes it a liability in most shells. The exception is Liliana, Untouched by Death zombie builds, where the sacrifice feeds the graveyard and the cheap cost matters for mass reanimation lines.

In Commander, Accursed Centaur is a fringe piece — playable only in dedicated zombie or sacrifice synergy decks where the self-sacrifice is a feature rather than a tax. Pauper is where Accursed Centaur sees the most honest evaluation: a one-mana 2/2 is a real rate at common, but the mandatory sacrifice makes it unplayable outside of very specific sacrifice-matters shells, and those shells have better options. Legacy and Vintage are legal but irrelevant — no competitive deck at those power levels has any use for it.
