Zirda, the Dawnwaker + Sunforger + Big Score + Jeska's Will + Soldevi Digger

5-card combo · RW

Verdict

Yes — this 5-piece Sunforger loop generates near-infinite red mana and card draw in Boros once an opponent is holding six or more cards.

Zirda, the Dawnwaker reduces activated abilities by two generic mana, which is what makes Sunforger re-equip for one mana and Soldevi Digger recycle for one mana each activation instead of three. The loop runs Jeska's Will for at least six red, re-equips Sunforger for one, fetches Big Score to draw two and make two Treasures, then uses Soldevi Digger twice to bottom both spells and start again — the Treasures pay for the Digger activations and leave red floating each cycle. The opponent's hand size is the real constraint: six cards is the floor, and if that count drops mid-loop the engine stalls.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

An opponent has six or more cards in hand.

02

Steps

  1. Activate Sunforger by paying {R}{W} and unattaching it, searching your library for Jeska's Will and casting it without paying its mana cost, adding at least six {R}.
  2. Activate Sunforger's equip ability by paying {1}, attaching it to Zirda.
  3. Activate Sunforger by paying {R}{W} and unattaching it, searching your library for Big Score and casting it without paying its mana cost and discarding a card.
  4. Resolve Big Score, causing you to draw two cards and create two Treasures.
  5. Activate Sunforger's equip ability by paying {1}, attaching it to Zirda.
  6. Activate Soldevi Digger twice by paying {2}, putting Big Score and Jeska's Will from your graveyard onto the bottom of your library.
  7. Activate two Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding {W}{W}.
  8. Repeat.

Result

Infinite draw triggers; Near-infinite storm count; Near-infinite self-discard triggers; Near-infinite magecraft triggers; Near-infinite card draw; Near-infinite red mana

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

The combo has no clean substitute for Zirda since the cost reduction is load-bearing throughout — without it, the mana doesn't close. Grapeshot or Aetherflux Reservoir are the natural closers once storm count climbs; Magnetic Theft can slot in to re-attach Sunforger if Zirda is removed before the loop starts, buying one free re-equip at instant speed.
