Storm-Kiln Artist bankrolls the engine: each Rootha activation that copies Jeska's Will produces a Treasure, and each Will copy adds at least four red mana when an opponent holds four or more cards. High Fae Trickster's role is locking the loop — its ETB and LTB triggers feed the infinite count as Rootha bounces and recasts itself repeatedly. The combo lives in Izzet storm and magecraft shells that already run Jeska's Will as ramp.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

An opponent has four or more cards in hand. If you control a commander, you can choose both of Jeska's Will's modes if desired.

02

Steps

  1. Cast Jeska's Will by paying {2}{R}.
  2. Storm-Kiln Artist triggers, creating a Treasure token.
  3. Activate a Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding {1}.
  4. Holding priority, activate Rootha by paying {2} and returning it from the battlefield to your hand, copying Jeska's Will.
  5. Storm-Kiln Artist triggers, creating a Treasure token.
  6. Resolve the Jeska's Will copy, adding at least {R}{R}{R}{R}.
  7. Activate a Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding {U}.
  8. Cast Rootha by paying {1}{U}{R}.
  9. Repeat from step 4.

03

Result

Infinite LTB; Infinite ETB; Infinite storm count; Infinite red mana; Infinite magecraft triggers; Exile your library with the ability to play the exiled cards until end of turn

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

The loop demands all four pieces simultaneously, which makes it fragile to creature removal at instant speed — killing Storm-Kiln Artist or High Fae Trickster in response to a Rootha activation collapses the mana math. Once the library is exiled, pair the engine with any instant or sorcery that converts storm count or magecraft triggers to damage — Grapeshot or Aetherflux Reservoir close the game; the loop itself stops short of killing.
