Phantom Steed creates a tapped, attacking token copy of Eternal Witness on each attack, which returns Temporal Manipulation from the graveyard to hand just in time to cast it before the turn ends. The loop lives in Simic and suits any tempo or goodstuff commander — Rashmi, Eternities Crafter or Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait both benefit from the repeated draw steps that infinite turns produce. The single hard prerequisite is that Phantom Steed gets through unblocked, which means opponents with a blocker on the ground shut it off cleanly.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

An opponent can not block Phantom Steed.

02

Steps

  1. Cast Temporal Manipulation, taking an extra turn after this one.
  2. Attack with Phantom Steed.
  3. Phantom Steed triggers, creating a token copy of Eternal Witness that is tapped and attacking.
  4. Eternal Witness enters, returning Temporal Manipulation from your graveyard to your hand.
  5. Pass the turn.
  6. Repeat.

03

Result

Infinite turns; Lock

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

Capture of Jingzhou and Time Warp slot in directly for Temporal Manipulation — any 5-mana sorcery that grants an extra turn works identically here. If the combat-damage dependency feels too fragile, build around Time Warp effects with a more protected enabler; the Eternal Witness recursion half is solid, but the combo lives or dies on Phantom Steed's ability to attack into an empty board.
