Verdict

Yes — this 3-card loop generates infinite ETBs, infinite mana, and infinite creature tokens once the land base clears the {4}{U}{U} threshold.

Saheeli's Artistry copies Great Whale as an artifact token, untapping the lands that just paid for it; Eternal Witness returns Saheeli's Artistry to hand each loop. The second cast of Saheeli's Artistry copies both simultaneously, so the Eternal Witness token recurs the sorcery while the Great Whale token refunds the mana — the engine becomes self-sustaining in Simic shells built around ETB value or spellslinger payoffs like Tatyova, Benthic Druid or Riku of Two Reflections.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

You control up to seven lands that can tap to produce at least {4}{U}{U}. If the seven lands can tap to produce {5}{U}{U} or more, this combo will net infinite mana. So long as you produce an extra {U} each loop, you can eventually stop copying Great Whale and copy other creature(s) or artifact(s) instead. You can also create two copies of Eternal Witness instead to return other applicable cards to your hand.

02

Steps

  1. Activate up to seven lands by tapping them, adding at least {4}{U}{U}.
  2. Cast Saheeli's Artistry by paying {4}{U}{U}, creating a token copy of Great Whale that is an artifact.
  3. When the Great Whale token enters, it triggers, untapping up to seven lands.
  4. Cast Eternal Witness by paying its mana cost.
  5. When Eternal Witness enters, it triggers, returning Saheeli's Artistry from your graveyard to your hand.
  6. Activate up to seven lands by tapping them, adding at least {4}{U}{U}.
  7. Cast Saheeli's Artistry by paying {4}{U}{U}, creating a token copy of Eternal Witness and the Great Whale token.
  8. When the Eternal Witness and Great Whale tokens enter, they trigger.
  9. Resolve the Eternal Witness token's trigger, returning Saheeli's Artistry from your graveyard to your hand.
  10. Resolve the Great Whale token's trigger, untapping up to seven lands.
  11. Repeat from step 6.

03

Result

Infinite ETB; Infinite storm count; Infinite creature tokens; Infinite mana lands you control can produce; Infinite magecraft triggers; Infinite recursion of instant and sorcery cards from your graveyard; Infinite copies of all creatures; Infinite copies of all artifacts; Infinite untap of lands you control

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

Peregrine Drake slots in for Great Whale if the slot is contested — it untaps five lands instead of seven, which tightens the mana window but the loop structure is identical. Once the loop is running, Saheeli's Artistry can stop copying Great Whale and start copying any creature or artifact on the battlefield, so the kill is whatever the deck already runs — Thassa's Oracle, Walking Ballista, or even a second Eternal Witness to recursively empty the graveyard of anything useful.
