Saheeli's Artistry card art
Saheeli's Artistry puts two tokens onto the battlefield — one copy of any artifact, one copy of any creature — for six mana, and that immediacy is the whole case for it. The cost is real: six mana is a lot to ask, and slower tables punish that harder than the spell rewards. In artifact-heavy builds like Urza, Lord High Artificer or token-doubling engines like Gimbal, Gremlin Prodigy, the double-copy effect is worth every mana; everywhere else, it's a luxury.

Commanders with the highest synergy

01
Gimbal, Gremlin Prodigy

Gimbal, Gremlin Prodigy

52.1% of decks · synergy 0.51

Gimbal, Gremlin Prodigy rewards every artifact token entering, so Saheeli's Artistry's two-for-one immediately feeds his power-up triggers and floods the board with Gremlin fodder — over half of Gimbal decks run it for exactly this reason.

02
Saheeli, the Gifted

Saheeli, the Gifted

43.9% of decks · synergy 0.42

Saheeli, the Gifted reduces the cost of artifacts you cast, which makes Saheeli's Artistry dramatically cheaper to execute; the thematic overlap is almost beside the point compared to how efficiently the two slot together.

03
Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer

Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer

39.7% of decks · synergy 0.38

Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer turns every token into a copy of your best token, so Saheeli's Artistry dropping a copy of a key artifact token gives Brudiclad exactly the template he needs to unify a full board on the next combat step.

04
Hidetsugu and Kairi

Hidetsugu and Kairi

38.5% of decks · synergy 0.38

Hidetsugu and Kairi frequently runs high-impact legends worth copying, and Saheeli's Artistry provides a body copy that can die to set off death triggers while the artifact copy sticks around — a clean way to extract double value from a single threat.

Saheeli's Artistry is legal across Commander, Legacy, Modern, Pioneer, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but its competitive ceiling is firmly in Commander. In 60-card formats the six-mana ask is almost always fatal to tempo; you can rarely afford to tap out at sorcery speed for an effect that doesn't win the game on the spot, and cheaper cloning effects outclass it in every powered environment. Commander is where the math flips: multiplayer games give you the time to hit six mana, the board tends to be stocked with high-value targets worth copying, and artifact decks generate enough incidental tokens that doubling the output matters. Oathbreaker can occasionally support it in artifact-heavy builds, but the smaller format means the power ceiling is lower.

Pricing data for Saheeli's Artistry isn't currently available, so check Scryfall or TCGPlayer for the latest numbers before buying. Given its 50%-plus inclusion rate in Gimbal decks and solid cross-archetype demand, it rarely sits in bulk territory — but it's also not a scarce card, so copies are easy to find.
