Yarok, the Desecrated + Cloud of Faeries + Eternal Witness + Ghostly Flicker

4-card combo · BGU

Verdict

Yes — Yarok doubling the ETB triggers turns a 3-mana instant into an infinite storm engine that recurs every spell in the graveyard.

Ghostly Flicker blinks Eternal Witness and Cloud of Faeries simultaneously; Yarok, the Desecrated doubles both ETB triggers, so Eternal Witness returns Ghostly Flicker and a free spell each loop while Cloud of Faeries untaps four land-taps worth of mana. The combo lives in Yarok blink shells that already want Eternal Witness as recursion glue — the three non-commander pieces are all doing honest work before the loop assembles.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

You control up to two lands that can tap to produce at least {1}{U}.

02

Steps

  1. Activate up to two lands by tapping them, adding at least {1}{U}.
  2. Cast Ghostly Flicker by paying {2}{U}, blinking Eternal Witness and Cloud of Faeries.
  3. When Eternal Witness and Cloud of Faeries enter the battlefield, their abilities trigger twice each.
  4. Resolve the first Eternal Witness trigger, returning Ghostly Flicker from your graveyard to your hand.
  5. Resolve the second Eternal Witness trigger, returning any other instant or sorcery card from your graveyard to your hand.
  6. Resolve the first Cloud of Faeries trigger, untapping up to two lands.
  7. Activate up to two lands by tapping them, adding at least {1}{U}.
  8. Resolve the second Cloud of Faeries trigger, untapping up to two lands.
  9. Repeat.

03

Result

Infinite casts of any instants and/or sorcery cards in your hand or graveyard; Infinite ETB; Infinite LTB; Infinite magecraft triggers; Infinite mana lands you control can produce; Infinite storm count

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

Peregrine Drake replaces Cloud of Faeries if the deck wants redundancy — it untaps five lands instead of two and clears the mana-positive threshold more easily. The loop generates infinite storm and magecraft triggers but no standalone kill; close with Thassa's Oracle on the next Ghostly Flicker target, or recur Tendrils of Agony from the graveyard once storm count is high enough.
