Heroic Intervention shields your permanents for the turn; Chain of Acid then targets one of your own indestructible permanents, fails to destroy it, and copies itself — Twinning Staff redirects one of those copies at an opponent's noncreature permanent each iteration. Opponents who copy the spell off Chain of Acid's trigger can't retarget your hexproof board, so the loop runs unimpeded until every land and artifact across the table is gone.
Recipe
How it works
01
Prerequisites
—
02
Steps
- Cast Heroic Intervention by paying
, giving permanents you control hexproof and indestructible until end of turn.
- Cast Chain of Acid paying
targeting a permanent you control.
- Resolve Chain of Acid, failing to destroy the indestructible permanent you control and copying Chain of Acid targeting the same permanent.
- Twinning Staff triggers, copying Chain of Acid an additional time, targeting a noncreature permanent an opponent controls.
- Resolve a Chain of Acid copy, destroying the permanent an opponent controls; that opponent may copy the spell but cannot target your permanents.
- Repeat from step 3.
03
Result
Destroy all noncreature permanents opponents control; Infinite magecraft triggers; Mass Land Denial
Variations
Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines
This line needs all three pieces and a window to cast two green spells in sequence, which makes it fragile to countermagic — a single Force of Will before Heroic Intervention collapses the entire setup. There is no real substitute for Twinning Staff here since the additional copy is the mechanism that redirects at opponents; run Veil of Summer or Autumn's Veil to protect the setup rather than swapping pieces.
