The One Ring + Conduit of Worlds + Arcbound Ravager

3-card combo · G

Verdict

No — this loop locks its own pilot out of casting spells, making it a defensive stall rather than a win condition.

Conduit of Worlds replays The One Ring from the graveyard for 4 mana after Arcbound Ravager sacrifices it, resetting the Ring's protection-from-everything trigger each turn. The catch is structural: casting The One Ring is the one spell allowed per turn under the loop, so no other spells resolve while it runs. Green artifact shells — Glissa, the Traitor or Urtet, Remnant of Memnarch — can assemble this, but the table just waits it out while the pilot sits behind a wall doing nothing.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

You have not cast a spell this turn.

02

Steps

  1. Activate Arcbound Ravager by sacrificing The One Ring, putting a +1/+1 counter on Arcbound Ravager.
  2. Activate Conduit of Worlds by tapping it, causing you to pay {4} to cast The One Ring from your graveyard.
  3. The One Ring triggers, giving you protection from everything until your next turn.
  4. Repeat during each of your turns.

03

Result

Prevent all damage that would be dealt to you; You can't cast spells; You have protection from everything; Lock

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

The One Ring already sees heavy play as standalone draw and protection without the loop attached; Arcbound Ravager is the flex piece here and can be cut for any sacrifice outlet if the goal is pure Ring recursion. If the lock is the point, pair it with a pre-assembled win condition already on the battlefield — something like Steel Hellkite or Walking Ballista that doesn't require casting spells to close the game.
