Abdel Adrian exiles Eternal Witness and whatever mana-producing permanents are on board when Flicker of Fate resolves; Eternal Witness returns Flicker of Fate from the graveyard on the way back in, and the tapped rocks re-enter untapped ready to fund the next cycle. Every iteration creates a 1/1 Soldier token for each exiled permanent, so the loop scales with the number of mana producers already in play. Green-white Abdel Adrian blink decks running Ephemerate lines slot this in as a second infinite-token engine.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

You have any number of other nonland permanents that enter the battlefield untapped, and that can collectively tap to produce enough mana to cast Flicker of Fate exiled by Abdel Adrian. Eternal Witness exiled by Abdel Adrian. You have enough mana to cast Flicker of Fate.

02

Steps

  1. Cast Flicker of Fate by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
  2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Eternal Witness and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
  3. Abdel Adrian and Eternal Witness trigger.
  4. Resolve the Eternal Witness trigger, returning Flicker of Fate from your graveyard to your hand.
  5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Flicker of Fate.
  6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Eternal Witness and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
  7. Repeat.

03

Result

Infinite LTB; Infinite ETB; Infinite storm count; Infinite creature tokens; Infinite blinking of nonland permanents; Infinite magecraft triggers

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

Ephemerate is the tighter single-white alternative to Flicker of Fate — rebound covers the second activation for free, shaving the mana requirement significantly. Spine of Ish Sah or Impact Tremors closes the game on infinite tokens; without a damage sink or Purphoros, God of the Forge effect, the Soldier flood ends the loop but needs a combat step to win.
