Yore-Tiller Nephilim reanimates a tapped and attacking creature every time it attacks — a repeating engine stapled to a 2/2 body for four mana across four colors. The payoff is real, especially paired with Breath of Fury for infinite combat loops, but the four-color pip requirement makes casting it outside a dedicated shell punishing.

Commander is the only format where Yore-Tiller Nephilim sees meaningful play, and even there it slots in as part of the 99 rather than a commander itself — its four-color identity (lacking green) fits under Atraxa, Yidris, or any non-green four-color commander shell that wants a reanimation engine on a stick. In Legacy and Vintage it's technically legal but competes with formats full of faster, more consistent threats and will never see a table. Modern is the same story: a 2/2 for four with a conditional triggered ability doesn't clear the bar. Oathbreaker legality doesn't change the calculus — Yore-Tiller Nephilim is a Commander card through and through.
