Trade Caravan exists almost entirely to untap permanents on upkeep, and outside of Stasis locks and similar freeze strategies it does almost nothing useful. Bulk rare energy for a very specific prison deck — if you're not building around it, skip it.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Trade Caravan sees essentially zero competitive play across any format where it's legal. In Legacy and Vintage it's outclassed by dedicated lock pieces, and in Pauper the untap trigger is too conditional to matter in most shells. Commander is where Trade Caravan finds its narrowest niche — pillow-fort and stax decks that want redundant ways to sustain a Stasis lock — but even there it's a fringe inclusion rather than a staple.

Current price
$0.14 bulk tier
At $0.14, Trade Caravan is deep bulk — the price reflects the near-zero demand outside of a single fringe strategy. It's stable at this floor simply because it can't realistically go lower, not because demand is building.
