Tephraderm turns every source of damage into a punishment loop — anything that deals it damage takes that same damage back, stacking up fast when multiple sources connect in a single turn. The dream is pairing it with Hive Mind or other copy effects to multiply the triggers, but even without support it's a legitimate deterrent that discourages attacks and punishes spell-based removal.
