Sway of the Stars card art
Sway of the Stars resets the entire game — every permanent gone, every hand and library rebuilt to seven — and then kills everyone at one life. The catch is ten mana and no built-in way to win through the reset, which means it only earns its slot when you have a commander like Syr Konrad, the Grim who triggers on every card hitting a graveyard and converts the mass shuffle into lethal damage.

Sway of the Stars is legal in Commander, Legacy, Modern, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but it's effectively a Commander card — ten mana is unplayable in Legacy, Modern, and Vintage without a dedicated cheat-it-in shell that has strictly better reset options. In Commander it finds a home in blue decks that either win on the stack when Sway resolves or have a commander that survives or profits from the game state being wiped clean. Oathbreaker is theoretically legal but the same dependency on a synergy piece applies.

Price Context

Current price

$4.13 cheap tier

At $4.13, Sway of the Stars sits at a fair price for a narrow, build-around reset spell with a cult following in Syr Konrad and Jhoira lists. It's unlikely to spike further given how few decks can use it, but it also won't crater — casual demand for dramatic game-ending plays keeps a floor under it.
