Spy Kit turns the equipped creature into every non-legendary creature ever printed by name — a blank-slate effect that does nothing on its own but becomes a lock piece the moment Cornered Market hits the table. Two mana to equip a two-mana artifact is the entire cost, and you're paying it strictly for the combo.
