Spiteful Sliver turns every damage-based board wipe into a lethal punishment — pair it with Star of Extinction and every opponent loses 20 life on top of losing their board. Two mana for a 1/1 is a real cost, but in The First Sliver or any Sliver shell running mass damage effects, it converts a symmetrical wipe into a one-sided kill.
