Sliver Queen card art
Sliver Queen produces a 1/1 Sliver token for two mana, on demand, at instant speed — that repeatable token generation is what makes it a combo centerpiece, not just a tribal payoff. Pair it with Basal Sliver for infinite mana and infinite tokens, and you understand why The First Sliver decks treat it as one of the most critical five-color pieces in the format.

The First Sliver cascades off every Sliver cast, and Sliver Queen's token-generation loop turns that into a self-sustaining engine — each token trigger can chain into another Sliver, which cascades again, burying opponents in card advantage and board presence simultaneously.

Commander is where Sliver Queen lives. As a five-color legendary Sliver, it doubles as commander and combo engine, and the token-generation ability is one of the most reliable infinite-combo starts in any Sliver list. In Legacy and Vintage it's technically legal but sees essentially no play — the five-color mana requirement is prohibitive in formats where you're not building around it, and there are cleaner ways to generate infinite tokens. Oathbreaker is legal but irrelevant at this price point and power level. If you're sleeving up Sliver Queen, it's a Commander deck.

Sliver Queen has historically sat in the $50–$100 range due to Reserved List status and genuine Commander demand — check current listings on Scryfall or TCGPlayer for the live price before buying. The Reserved List guarantees no reprint, which keeps the floor elevated, but condition and printing matter; older copies carry a premium over Near Mint.
