Night of the Sweets' Revenge hits every opponent for damage equal to your Food count, then lets you cash those Foods in for cards — all on one card at five mana. In Food-focused decks like Camellia, the Seedmiser or The Cabbage Merchant, a stacked board can close out the table the turn this resolves.
Best Commanders
Commanders with the highest synergy

The Cabbage Merchant
The Cabbage Merchant generates Food tokens every time you play a Food-matters spell, so Night of the Sweets' Revenge reliably arrives to a double-digit Food count and drains opponents out while refilling your hand in a single shot.

Rocco, Street Chef
Rocco, Street Chef turns every Food token into card velocity and life, and Night of the Sweets' Revenge converts that accumulated board into a finisher — the drain damage is often lethal by the time Rocco has been cooking for a few turns.

The Goose Mother
The Goose Mother makes Food on entry and keeps producing them as it attacks, which means Night of the Sweets' Revenge scales naturally off the Goose's token generation and can close the game before opponents stabilize.

Samwise Gamgee
Samwise Gamgee triggers Food creation off historic permanents entering, building up a stockpile fast, and Night of the Sweets' Revenge converts that stockpile into a simultaneous life drain and card draw engine that rewards the deck's grind strategy.

Gyome, Master Chef
Gyome, Master Chef produces a Food each turn for every nontoken creature played, so Night of the Sweets' Revenge acts as both a damage finisher and a reset valve when the Food pile is deep enough to threaten the table.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Night of the Sweets' Revenge is legal across every major constructed format except Pauper, but Commander is where it actually belongs — the multiplayer damage clause hits all opponents simultaneously, turning a pile of Food tokens into a table-wide drain that would be impossible to replicate in a one-on-one context. In Standard, Modern, Pioneer, and Legacy, the card is too slow and too dependent on a Food synergy package to compete with efficient threats, and the single-opponent damage clause loses most of its upside. Oathbreaker is the one non-Commander multiplayer format where Night of the Sweets' Revenge carries real threat, since the same multi-opponent drain applies. Outside of Food-tribal Commander shells, treat this card as unplayable.

Current price
$1.29 cheap tier
At $1.29, Night of the Sweets' Revenge sits in the cheap tier — a low-friction pickup for any Food deck that wants a finisher and a draw engine on the same card. That price is unlikely to move much unless a breakout Food commander spikes demand, so buy it when you need it rather than speculating.
