Myth Unbound card art
Myth Unbound replaces itself every time your commander dies and costs one less to recast for each enchantment you control — two effects that compound fast in the right shell. Zero-cost commanders like Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh make the cost reduction trivial, and token-generating legends like Jyoti, Moag Ancient can flood the board with enchantment synergies that make the discount feel almost academic.

Commanders with the highest synergy

01
Jyoti, Moag Ancient

Jyoti, Moag Ancient

26.4% of decks · synergy 0.26

Jyoti, Moag Ancient creates Forest Dryad tokens that count as enchantments, so Myth Unbound's cost reduction kicks in immediately and scales with every land Jyoti animates — the card draws itself and pays for itself in the same deck.

02
Skullbriar, the Walking Grave

Skullbriar, the Walking Grave

18.9% of decks · synergy 0.18

Skullbriar, the Walking Grave gets recast constantly by design, and Myth Unbound turns every death into a card draw while shaving the commander tax down toward zero — the two cards are practically a package deal in that strategy.

Myth Unbound is a Commander card through and through — its entire text box is built around the commander zone mechanic, which only exists in formats that use it. In Legacy and Vintage it's technically legal but has no practical application; no competitive shell there needs to reduce a commander tax or draw cards off a legend dying. Oathbreaker is the one non-Commander format where it does real work, since planeswalker commanders die and recast often enough that both halves of Myth Unbound are live. Everywhere else, it simply doesn't apply.
