Llanowar Druid taps to untap all Forests you control — in the right shell, that's a mana doubler stapled to a two-mana body. The cost is that it sacrifices itself on activation, so it needs a deck that either loops creatures from the graveyard or converts the mana into an immediate win; Kenrith, the Returned King and Yedora, Grave Gardener both do exactly that.

Yedora, Grave Gardener
When Llanowar Druid dies after untapping your Forests, Yedora, Grave Gardener returns it to the battlefield as a Forest — which immediately resets the engine, letting you untap your lands again and again until you've generated enough mana to close the game.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Llanowar Druid is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, Pauper, and Oathbreaker, but Commander is its only real home. In Legacy and Vintage the one-shot Forest untap doesn't compete with the raw speed and consistency of those formats' mana engines. Pauper is the one competitive format where it's legal and theoretically loopable, but no established Pauper shell currently exploits it. Commander is where the card earns its slot — specifically in green creature-recursion decks that can chain the sacrifice trigger into a loop.

$0.26 bulk tier
At $0.26, Llanowar Druid is bulk — buy a playset without thinking about it. Bulk combo pieces with narrow homes rarely spike, so don't expect price movement unless a high-profile Yedora, Grave Gardener list pushes demand.
