Leafkin Druid card art
Leafkin Druid taps for two mana as long as you control four or more creatures — a condition Elemental-tribal and token decks meet on turn three and never drop below. Ashaya, Soul of the Wild pushes it further by turning every creature into a Forest, and Omnath, Locus of the Roil decks run it as a near-unconditional Llanowar Elves upgrade that also carries the Elemental type.

Commanders with the highest synergy

01
Omnath, Locus of the Roil

Omnath, Locus of the Roil

33.6% of decks · synergy 0.33

Leafkin Druid is an Elemental, so it triggers Omnath, Locus of the Roil's enter-the-battlefield ping and feeds the land-drop payoffs simultaneously — it's pulling double duty before it ever taps for mana.

02
Emmara, Soul of the Accord

Emmara, Soul of the Accord

32.5% of decks · synergy 0.31

Emmara, Soul of the Accord generates tokens whenever she taps, which means Leafkin Druid converts those tokens directly into extra mana — the more Emmara attacks or crews, the more reliably Leafkin fuels the next spell.

Leafkin Druid is a Commander card — the four-creature threshold is trivially met in a 100-card format built around synergy, and the Elemental type earns it a slot in a specific subset of decks rather than every green shell. In Pauper it's legal and playable in token-heavy commons builds, though competition from other common mana dorks is stiff. Modern and Pioneer have enough redundancy at two mana that Leafkin Druid rarely makes the cut outside of dedicated Elemental tribal lists. Legacy and Vintage have no interest — the power bar is too high.

Price Context

Current price

$0.23 bulk tier

At $0.23, Leafkin Druid is deep bulk — you're picking these out of a dollar bin, not tracking them down. That price has nowhere meaningful to go given the card's narrow application, so buy the copies you need and don't think twice about it.
