Kinbinding locks down a creature permanently — no end-of-turn clause, no echo cost — for two mana with a small payoff attached. Brigid, Clachan's Heart turns that exile trigger into a recurring engine, which is the main reason the card exists in competitive Commander conversations at all.
Best Commanders
Commanders with the highest synergy
Brigid, Clachan's Heart
Brigid, Clachan's Heart cares about exiling cards with other cards' effects, and Kinbinding triggers that ability cleanly and cheaply, making it one of the most natural includes in the deck at a 58% inclusion rate.

Otharri, Suns' Glory
Otharri, Suns' Glory runs experience counters and wants cheap spells that do real work, and Kinbinding's two-mana permanent exile with an attached trigger slots into that gameplan without wasting resources.

Adeline, Resplendent Cathar
Adeline, Resplendent Cathar decks go wide with tokens and want interactive pieces that don't slow the board development — Kinbinding handles a blocker or threat for two mana while keeping the aggro line intact.

Anim Pakal, Thousandth Moon
Anim Pakal, Thousandth Moon rewards casting spells and proliferating counters, so Kinbinding fills a removal slot that pulls double duty without demanding additional setup.

Zurgo, Thunder's Decree
Zurgo, Thunder's Decree wants attackers swinging freely, and Kinbinding clears a key blocker at instant speed for two mana — a straightforward fit in a deck that can't afford to stall in combat.

In Commander, Kinbinding is a role-player, not a staple — it earns its slot specifically in decks that reward exiling permanents or need cheap, permanent removal with a minor upside attached. In 60-card formats like Modern and Pioneer, it doesn't compete with Path to Exile or Prismatic Ending, which do more for the same or less mana without the conditional text. Legacy and Vintage have far stronger options and Kinbinding won't see play there. Standard is the one environment where its floor matters — clean exile at two mana is genuinely useful when better alternatives rotate out.

Price Context
Current price
$0.45 bulk tier
At $0.45, Kinbinding is bulk — pick it up without hesitation if it fits your deck, since the price reflects its narrow demand rather than any ceiling on its usefulness. It won't appreciate meaningfully, but for Brigid, Clachan's Heart players it's a near-automatic include at essentially no cost.
