Invasion of Arcavios // Invocation of the Founders card art
Invasion of Arcavios // Invocation of the Founders tutors any instant or sorcery from your library directly to hand for five mana, then flips into a static enchantment that copies every instant and sorcery you cast — that back half is the reason you're here. The cost is real: six defense means it needs a dedicated shell to survive long enough to flip, and commanders like Heliod, the Radiant Dawn // Heliod, the Warped Eclipse that convert the battle into a free spell-doubler are doing the heavy lifting.

Commander is where Invasion of Arcavios // Invocation of the Founders does its best work — the tutor on entry finds a combo piece or a board wipe, and if opponents can't close it out quickly, the enchantment side turns every subsequent spell into a two-for-one. Outside Commander, the card sees essentially no play: five mana for a conditional tutor is too slow for Pioneer, Modern, or Legacy, where the battle's six defense is a liability rather than a threat. Oathbreaker could theoretically support it in spell-heavy builds, but the format's compressed game length makes flipping the battle an optimistic ask.

Price Context

Current price

$0.32 bulk tier

At $0.32, Invasion of Arcavios // Invocation of the Founders is firmly bulk — you're getting a lot of text for almost nothing. The price reflects its narrow home rather than its power level; in the right spell-heavy Commander shell it punches well above its cost, and there's little reason to expect significant movement given its limited cross-format appeal.
