Imodane, the Pyrohammer
Legendary Creature — Human Knight
Whenever an instant or sorcery spell you control that targets only a single creature deals damage to that creature, Imodane deals that much damage to each opponent.

Imodane, the Pyrohammer turns any instant or sorcery that deals damage into a multiplier — every point of damage dealt to a single target gets copied to every other opponent, so a Shock becomes a three-way Shock for free. The cost is a five-mana legendary who does nothing until you cast a spell, which means she's a magnet for removal before she ever fires; build around her only if your deck can reliably protect her or rebuild fast. Zada, Hedron Grinder rewards similar instincts but copies to your own creatures — Imodane is the version that ends games, not floods boards, and Firesong and Sunspeaker players already know exactly what to do with her.
Best Commanders
Commanders with the highest synergy

Firesong and Sunspeaker
Firesong and Sunspeaker is a burn-and-lifegain engine that constantly casts the kind of red instants and sorceries Imodane, the Pyrohammer wants to copy — every Searing Meditation trigger becomes a table-wide threat the moment Imodane is on board.

Taii Wakeen, Perfect Shot
Taii Wakeen, Perfect Shot cares about dealing exactly 1 damage repeatedly, and Imodane, the Pyrohammer turns those precision pings into simultaneous hits on every opponent, collapsing the usual one-target-at-a-time limitation of the strategy.

Solphim, Mayhem Dominus
Solphim, Mayhem Dominus doubles noncombat damage you deal, which stacks directly on top of what Imodane, the Pyrohammer is already doing — the two together mean a single damage spell can arithmetic opponents out of the game in one turn.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Commander is where Imodane, the Pyrohammer actually lives — the multi-opponent rule is her entire text box, since copying damage to each other opponent is meaningless in a duel. In 1v1 formats like Legacy, Modern, Pioneer, and Vintage she's a five-mana 3/4 that does nothing a cheaper burn spell couldn't do better, and no competitive shell wants her. Standard has her legal but she's too slow and too conditional for any aggressive or control list that has better options at five mana. Oathbreaker works in the same way Commander does if you're pairing her with a damage-dealing signature spell, but the 20-life total compresses the window considerably.

$0.35 bulk tier
At $0.35, Imodane, the Pyrohammer is firmly bulk — she's cheap to pick up and easy to trade for, with no financial risk to trying her. Bulk rares with narrow mechanical conditions rarely climb unless a new synergy card creates a spike in demand, so treat this as a throw-it-in price, not a sleeper.
