Ichorid is a 3/1 trampler that recurs itself from exile every upkeep for free — as long as you exile another black creature to pay the cost. The engine is real, but it demands a graveyard-stocked black creature base to sustain itself, which limits where it belongs.

In Commander, Ichorid slots into dedicated graveyard decks — Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver or Sidisi, Brood Tyrant shells where the black creature density is high enough to keep the recursion loop running. Legacy is where Ichorid earns its reputation: it's a core piece of Dredge, recurring for free off Putrid Imp or Stinkweed Imp exiles and closing games alongside Narcomoeba and Cabal Therapy. Vintage Dredge runs the same line, just faster. Modern, Pioneer, Standard, and Pauper don't have access to it, and even if they did, the supporting dredge infrastructure isn't there.

Price data isn't available in the current feed for Ichorid, so check Scryfall or TCGPlayer for a live number. Legacy Dredge demand keeps it from being a bulk rare, so expect to pay a meaningful premium over face value if you're picking one up for a Constructed deck.
