Felidar Cub card art
Felidar Cub destroys an enchantment the moment it hits the battlefield — no mana required, no hoops to jump through. Arahbo, the First Fang runs it because a zero-cost ETB answer stapled to a Cat body is exactly what a Cat tribal deck needs out of its flex slots.

Commanders with the highest synergy

02

Ajani, Nacatl Pariah

50.5% of decks · synergy 0.50

Ajani, Nacatl Pariah wants a low-curve Cat roster, and Felidar Cub delivers a two-mana body that pulls double duty as enchantment removal — half the job is done before you even attack.

03
Arahbo, Roar of the World

Arahbo, Roar of the World

17.3% of decks · synergy 0.16

Arahbo, Roar of the World cares less about the Cub's removal text and more that it's a Cat that can receive the Eminence buff; Felidar Cub earns its slot by occasionally answering a troublesome enchantment while still being a valid attack trigger target.

In Commander, Felidar Cub is a role-player in Cat tribal builds — it trades the flexibility of an instant-speed enchantment answer for a permanent body that synergizes with creature-matters commanders. Outside Commander, it struggles: Pauper has cleaner enchantment removal, and in Modern or Pioneer no competitive deck wants a 2/2 whose upside is a slow Disenchant. Legacy and Vintage have strictly better options at every angle. The Cub is a Commander card through and through, and even there it only earns a slot if your commander rewards the Cat type.

At $0.08, Felidar Cub is deep bulk — grab a copy out of any commons box without thinking twice. Bulk enchantment removal on a typed body doesn't appreciate; this stays a throw-in.
