Dune-Brood Nephilim card art
Dune-Brood Nephilim turns every combat swing into a token army, and pairing it with Breath of Fury converts that army into an unlimited attack chain that ends the game on the spot. The ask is a 4-color mana base spanning black, red, green, and white — steep but worth it for a card that wins from a single connected hit.

Format Analysis

Where it lives, where it can’t

FormatVerdict

Commander is the only format where Dune-Brood Nephilim truly lives — it's legal in Legacy, Modern, Vintage, and Oathbreaker as well, but a vanilla 6/6 with no evasion and a 4-color casting cost has no competitive role in any 60-card format. In Commander it can serve as the general itself under the rule that allows Nephilim as commanders, or slot into any 4-color or 5-color deck that can meet its pip requirements. Oathbreaker is a functional option but the 20-life starting total shrinks the window to assemble a token win before opponents close out.

Price Context

Current price

$4.27 cheap tier

At $4.27, Dune-Brood Nephilim sits at the low end of the niche-casual tier — cheap enough to pick up without hesitation, and the price reflects a card with a narrow but devoted audience. Demand is unlikely to spike dramatically, but copies are scarce enough that a popular 4-color Commander deck featuring it could quietly push the number up.
