Dire Fleet Hoarder

In Commander, Dire Fleet Hoarder is a role-player in sacrifice and Treasure synergy decks, not a headliner — it shows up because it's cheap, replaces itself, and triggers on-death payoffs without asking anything in return. Pauper is where it sees the most competitive scrutiny, since every card has to pull weight at common and a 2/1 that makes a Treasure on death is a reasonable rate in black aggro or aristocrats shells. In Modern and Pioneer it's largely outclassed by creatures that do more for the same mana, so it only appears in focused sacrifice lists that specifically want redundancy on the Treasure-death trigger. Legacy and Vintage have far more powerful options at every point on the curve, so Dire Fleet Hoarder is essentially invisible there.
